 Women’s Own

Tuesdays: 2.30 - 3.30pm

The Women's Own is a group of ladies who get together on a Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm in our Kings Hall for fellowship and mutual encouragement.

Every week there are different activities.  This could be an invited speaker giving a talk on devotional aspects of the Christian faith, or a talk on their work or the world around us.  These talks are always very interesting and give the opportunity to discuss many aspects of the community we live in.

Other events are organised during the year, such as an annual outing to the seaside and garden tea parties.

King Pins

saturdays 10am - 12pm

King Pins meet every other Saturday morning from 10am – 12pm  to knit or crochet and have a chat. We all look busy knitting, but there is usually more nattering than knitting going on!

Although the group usually consists of ladies, gentlemen are very welcome – after all fisherman are famous for their crafting skills.

Members of the group usually bring their own knitting projects which often include knitting for charity.

If you are a beginner and want to learn how to knit or crochet or have an unfinished project that is giving you problems there will always be someone willing to help. Or you could just come and watch us get ourselves in a knitted knot!

So come along and join us. For more information, please contact Kay Turner.
