Children’s and Youth

Family Church (Sunday)

The Family Church meets during the Sunday morning service.  Normally the children will participate in the first 15 minutes of our worship together before leaving for their own activities in the halls and rooms at the back of the premises.  The groups are:

Cuddles – birth to Start of school (Activities room, downstairs)
Sparklers – Reception to Year 3 (Kitchen, downstairs)
Juniors – Year 4 to Year 6 (Games room, upstairs)
Lazers – Year 7 to 9 (Youth Lounge, upstairs)
Premier – Year 10 to 13 (Premier Inn, offsite)

Each group follows the Scripture Union “Light” materials which involve games, stories and crafts for the younger children.

Youth Clubs

We have clubs for children and youth – Age between 5 and 18 years during term time, on Monday evenings. During all of these groups we have a cafe space open which parent’s are welcome to sit and relax in.

Connect (Monday)

For Reception through to year 4 we have a club from 3.45 to 5.00pm. We start with some snacks (normally toast and fruit) and drinks and then play some games, watch an episode of Veggietales and do something creative.

The Hub (Monday)

Year 5, 6, 7 & 8 have a group that runs from 5.30 to 7.00. We have lots of activities for this group including crafts, stories, team games, board games, X-Box, pool, table tennis and there is always time for a drink and biscuit too.

The Club (Monday)

For older children (Years 9 to 13) we have The Club which runs from 7.30 to 9.30. And includes various activities each week.

Homework Club (Wednesday)

Our doors are open straight after school on a Wednesday afternoon, through to 5 o’clock as a space for young people to drop in and do homework. We’re open to all ages but ask that Primary School pupils are accompanied by an adult. We have a cafe space during this with free drinks and toast, and some other snacks for sale.

Youth Cafe (Friday)

Just like Wednesday’s on a Friday we open up straight after school til 5.00 as a Youth Cafe. Similar set up to the homework club but with no expectations to do homework. We put out some games serve drinks and snacks, turn the music up and relax at the start of the weekend.
