Churches Together in Brentwood

Brentwood Baptist Church is a member of Churches Together in Brentwood, which embrace both Free, Anglican and Catholic Churches. Churches Together in Brentwood (CTB) organises each year a procession of witness through the High Street on Good Friday, culminating in a short open air service in the Centre of the High Street. In addition, Churches Together in Brentwood have taken a leading role in the Christmas festivities organised by the Council, called "Lighting up Brentwood".

Within this event, the Churches have organised a candlelit procession, a centre stage of entertainment with Christian performances ranging from Drama, Singing, Music etc, as well as providing free tea and coffee and mince pies from two separate location in the High Street. This major event has seen the High Street closed for through traffic for the day and the Churches have been fully supported by both the Council and Police and have been involved in all preparations for the event, which has attracted on some occasions up to some 20,000 people. CTB have always recognised and appreciated the support of the Borough Council in various town wide events.
