You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s F A M I L Y “.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS 2011, AND A NEW YEAR FULL OF GOD’S BLESSINGS

FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY 2012.

‘La Roca’ the serving center of team Maldonado, will tonight stage a Christmas event for Parents and Children of our Petra Group that normally meets each Thursday evening from 7.00- 9.00pm. As we prepare for tonight, not knowing how many will turn up, we ask for your prayers that the team will be ready for what ever happens in order to give glory to God for what He is doing in Lausana and at the ministry center. What follows are some thoughts from Brian and Melinda Vos as we look to God for His guidance and direction for tonight’s event.

Brian and Melinda write “The Team has a wide range on activities at La Roca, ranging from a Tuesday night women’s exercise time, to family nights with games or a movie. There are some events that are very evangelically focused, and some that just allow us to get to know the people better so that we can personally invite them to study the Bible with us.

Our prayer for tonight is that God would bring many parents, who are invited possibly for the first time, through the doors, and that they would like what they see and return to attend for themselves future events at La Roca”.

Over the last several months our team has had the opportunity to start a ministry center in Lausana, a fast growing neighborhood of Maldonado. In “La Roca” (The Rock), it is has seemingly been easier to bring kids in the door for different events, however it has been much more difficult to see the same amount of adults attend. We hope that tonight this might begin a change.

Tonight's event will be a small Christmas presentation from the kids of 'Petra' (children aged 10-12 years of age), to their parents. The kids have been working for several weeks on a gift for their moms and dads; this gift is made up of small painted wooden blocks that spell out either "Paz y Amor" (peace love) or "Familia" (family). The blocks have been wrapped up, and are now ready to be given to those parents that turn up at 20.30 (8.30pm UST - 5.30pm EST). We will also address the group to tell them why we are here, and why we desire to serve the community from the center, hopefully this will put them a little more at ease to come in the door.

Thank you so much to everyone who has prayed for us this year. If you have prayed you have been a part of the work here in Uruguay. Thank you so much for all those who has sacrificed in order to financially support the Gill family as we serve here in Maldonado Department, South Uruguay. We couldn't serve here on the field without giving, we appreciate each and everyone of you a lot. If you are considering missions as a way of serving the Lord in the future, you can find out more information on Avant Teams by emailing Bryan Padgett. He would love to help with any questions you might have. If you are still looking for a place to post an end of year gift, we are still looking for further support, as well as amounts to keep 'La Roca' open for the next two years. Any new or additional support can be given through Avant Ministries. Please go to www.AvantMinistries.org/give. Thank you so much.

With much love from Peter, Naomi, Hannah, Lydia and Jadon Gill, your missionaries in Uruguay.
